VBS

Here are a few pictures I took the second day of VBS. I wish I could have been there all week and helped. I really miss that up here in the mountains. Most of my pictures are similar to Stacia's, but I did get some of the "kitchen help", Jan and Sandy.

It's been awhile since I did a Thursday's Thoughts, so I thought I should try to write one today.

When tragedy strikes we sometimes want to blame God, but we know that is wrong. God is all knowing and has a reason for everything that happens. The Bible tells us that the rain falls on the just and the unjust, so sometimes bad things happen to good people. Tragedy in our lives can make us a stronger person and make us appreciate all of the blessings that we have.

My family has been so blessed and has not had to experience such a tragedy. We don't know why it happens in some families, but not in others. I just keep counting my blessings and thanking God every day for them and pray for Him to continue to watch all of our loved ones and keep them well and keep them safe.

Graduations

This has been a busy time for us with two grandchildren graduating and moving the last of our belongings from FL.

We had a great trip, going to Warner Robins, Ga to Raleigh, NC . It was a lot of fun and made us very proud of both Tyler and Sally.

We appreciate Mike for helping us with the last move and Janet for keeping Princess for us.

Thursdays Thoughts

I have been praying and thinking of Aric all day today. Although I don't know him personally, I feel like I do, by being a part of your Blogs. There are a lot of bad things out there on the internet, but this is a good thing. So many more prayers for Aric are being lifted up as a result of this.
We got word yesterday of the death of a friend and neighbor for 25 years when we lived in Orlando. Our children grew up together. I should have called him when we were in FL back in December, but put it off. Now, I am sorry I waited. We often have good intentions, but don't follow through with them. So, remember to send that card, make that phone call or visit today. Tomorrow may be too late.

Train Ride

A couple of weeks ago we went on a train ride with a group from Warner Robins Church of Christ. We had a great time, especially because we were with some of our family members and some of our Christian brothers and sisters. To top it off, my cousin, Ernest Fussell was the conductor. Stacia has posted a lot of pictures and details of the trip, but I thought I would add a few of the pictures I took.

The Johnson Family

All decked out for Church. We're going to Grandma and Grandaddy Great's church today.

We had a great week-end with Stacia, Darren, Hailey and Jack. There were lots of Jeep rides, sliding down the hill on cardboard sleds, and feeding the trout at Mr Nixon's ponds. The weather was really pretty nice and didn't turn cold until the day after they went home. Everything is starting to bloom and I believe Spring has finally arrived.

A Day In The Country

We had a really fun weekend with our Grandaughter and her family. Our two greatgrandchildren, Hailey and Jack came to visit us. There were lots of Jeep rides, walk in the woods, and feeding the fish. It is what keeps us young!
